words and music by John Hughes
I was inspired to write this song after reading Psalm 34 during a time of personal repentance before the Lord. A few of the lines particularly stood out to me:Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! These words inspired me in that time of returning to the Lord, as a simple reminder of his great faithfulness. We children of the Lord have already seen and known the Lordís goodness, and tasted of his mercy. Why, then, would we stray from him? Instead, let us come before him to magnify and bless him at all times..
Fear the Lord, you his holy ones, fear the Lord.
