"Here I Am"

by Dave Quintana - Servants of the Word

It is not we who have chosen him, but he who has chosen us. And as much as we seek to draw near to him, even more does he long to draw near to us. It's not that God visits us in a special way during special seasons—it's that we become more aware of the stirrings and actions of God in our hearts and in our lives. When we call, he will answer. When we cry out to him, he says "here I am". As we seek the Lord this season, let us look to the Father who eagerly awaits us as we return home to him.

Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
